Having combination skin requires some special treatment. I have oily patches where my acne loves to come through, and then I have dry patches that need extra moisture! Sometimes it’s hard to find products that work well for my skin, especially when I struggling with acne.

Wow, the wall of my shower is so ugly, but it’s what I’m working with for the next few months! I’m back with an updated what’s in my shower caddy, expect this year it’s a hanging shower caddy (last year’s post) because I’m in an apartment. I’m only in this apartment until the end of May and then hopefully I’ll be moving into someplace a little nicer. I’m currently on the search with my roommate to find a new place to live for our senior year of college!

To keep it short and sweet–I’m getting along with The Ordinary skincare very well! I picked these products up back in the fall (haul here) and have been able to give them a fair shot and update my thoughts on these products. To start out, I have combination-oily skin that gets a little drier in the winter and more oily in the summer. I also have acne-prone skin, but since adding these products in my skincare, my acne has been pretty much under control which I’m so happy to say! I do still get some spots around my period and when I’m eating particularly bad, but I had such bad acne during my freshman year of college that this is like nothing.

Mint is one of my go-to scents and flavors when I’m picking up items. I thought I would share a few of my favorite products that smell minty-fresh. I especially love using mint products in the winter time for that refreshing smell and effect.

January had to be one of the longest months ever! I felt like it was never going to end, but here we are sitting in February. I think February is going to fly by with all the things I have going on, but it’s going to be good! Here’s to another month of getting things accomplished.

I’m one of those people that loves to switch up their products for each season. I try to rotate products based on my hair or skin needs, which definitely evolve between summer and winter. Showers are one of my favorite things, so I tend to spend a little longer in them in the winter because they are so warm and cozy. Here are the products that have been on rotation this winter season.

I’m finally getting my first empties post up! These posts are always really fun to read because you actually see what people are using up and their thoughts after they finished them. It’s actually really fun after collecting your trash to actually be able to throw it away or recycle it!

Despite my birthday being over a month ago, I’m finally getting this post up! Actually, I just went and purchased a few of these items last week, but they are counting as my birthday gift. I like splurging a little around my birthday because I’ve been on a low-spend for most of the year and wanted to get the free birthday gifts as well!

The Ordinary products have been so hyped up lately, so I decided to pick a few up to try out myself. I’ve been wanting to get a control on acne, so many of these products are targeting that. I’m also just so impressed with the brand so far, they just can’t compete with the price and for someone just getting into more of a skincare routine, this has been a great brand to start out with.

In college, I need a simple anti-acne nighttime skincare routine to keep my skin acne free. This five-step process helps keep skin clear and hydrated.
I’ve been struggling with acne for most of my teenage years, and now that I’m in college it has seemed to get a lot worse. Last year I struggled with a lot of breakouts. I have gotten it a little under control, but I still get many breakouts and now have acne scars that I’m trying to get rid of. This is my current routine, and it’s quite easy to follow if you’re in college.
