Having combination skin requires some special treatment. I have oily patches where my acne loves to come through, and then I have dry patches that need extra moisture! Sometimes it’s hard to find products that work well for my skin, especially when I struggling with acne.

Wow, the wall of my shower is so ugly, but it’s what I’m working with for the next few months! I’m back with an updated what’s in my shower caddy, expect this year it’s a hanging shower caddy (last year’s post) because I’m in an apartment. I’m only in this apartment until the end of May and then hopefully I’ll be moving into someplace a little nicer. I’m currently on the search with my roommate to find a new place to live for our senior year of college!

It’s been a while since I shared my last empties post, so I’ve accumulated a lot of stuff! I’m working really hard on using up the stuff that I have and only buy new products when I run out of something or it’s something I’ve had my eye on for a long time. I have a lot of travel sized items that need to be used up here and I’m slowly working on those! I usually do these in categories of repurchasing, but I’m going to split them up into the different types of products this time.
To keep it short and sweet–I’m getting along with The Ordinary skincare very well! I picked these products up back in the fall (haul here) and have been able to give them a fair shot and update my thoughts on these products. To start out, I have combination-oily skin that gets a little drier in the winter and more oily in the summer. I also have acne-prone skin, but since adding these products in my skincare, my acne has been pretty much under control which I’m so happy to say! I do still get some spots around my period and when I’m eating particularly bad, but I had such bad acne during my freshman year of college that this is like nothing.

It’s only been a couple of months since I did my last empties post, but I have a bunch of items that I’ve finished up recently! I’m really trying to make a conscious effort to use up all of the products that I have before I buy anything more, of course, sometimes this is easier said than done, but it’s a work in progress! These are some of my favorite blog posts to read, so I hope you enjoy!

I always seem to accumulate a bunch of samples from Sephora, but never get around to trying them. So after these have been hanging around for a while, I finally decided to give them all a go. I actually think this was a special sample set I got with my order, which I probably why there are so many of them that I needed to try! Although one of the best things is actually getting really good samples, which I did this time around.

I picked up a few things from Ulta a little while back. I was looking for a new moisturizer, and it was on sale, so I made a little purchase. Luckily, this was during the skincare sale so I also got free shipping without having to spend a lot. Though I had to make another purchase later on in the week because my hair straightener decided to die one morning! I’ve had the straighter for about 7 years, so I guess it was its time. I picked this one up as a replacement, it’s the same brand so it’s just as good!

Mint is one of my go-to scents and flavors when I’m picking up items. I thought I would share a few of my favorite products that smell minty-fresh. I especially love using mint products in the winter time for that refreshing smell and effect.

January had to be one of the longest months ever! I felt like it was never going to end, but here we are sitting in February. I think February is going to fly by with all the things I have going on, but it’s going to be good! Here’s to another month of getting things accomplished.

I’m finally getting my first empties post up! These posts are always really fun to read because you actually see what people are using up and their thoughts after they finished them. It’s actually really fun after collecting your trash to actually be able to throw it away or recycle it!
