College Apartment Bedroom Tour | My Junior Year Room

I’m finally getting around to sharing my college apartment bedroom from my junior year! I took these photos in December I think, but here you go with the photos now that I’m moving and my room is all packed up. I really liked how my room came together this year, despite my first apartment being very 70s in style. I got most of my stuff from Target, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Ikea. You can check out my dorm room tours here and here.

Furniture

My bed is just on a simple metal bed frame. I was looking for headboards, but my parents thought it would be better not to have one for the time being since I’m moving and then will be moving again when I graduate next year.

My dresser is the Hemnes dresser from Ikea. It’s very spacious and has enough room for all of my clothes. The paint is peeling on the front though which is kind of annoying. My nightstand is also from Ikea, which I can’t find online, but it’s just a simple wood and glass one and was like $15.

I also got a cube organizer for a little extra storage and a basket to go along with that.

Bedding & Pillows

I got my sheets from Kohls because they were on sale, and actually so comfy. My comforter is from TJ Maxx and I got that for a great deal and it’s really good quality. My throw pillows are from Target and TJ Maxx, I can’t find the exact ones since I got them a year ago, but here is a similar euro sham one and a similar long one that is really cute. I was going for a kind of boho theme with my bed, so everything is blue and cream pretty much.

Decorations

I really love how I decorated my room, but man that was challenging to figure out exactly how I wanted it! My round mirror is from Target. I have a jewelry organizer and an acrylic organizer and a few containers to store my makeup and brushes.

Wall Decor

I picked up pictures frames from Target and printed images that I found online at Walmart and framed them. I also got a few items from Bed Bath & Beyond, TJ Maxx, and Hobby Lobby. I kind of just looked for things that I liked and then put them together in a gallery wall going with the white, gold, and wood theme.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

I loved finding this quote framed at TJ Maxx, it’s definitely my favorite of the bunch. I actually dropped it though as I was trying to hang it up, so I had to super glue it back together, but you can barely tell!

I have two of these wall grids from Target that I used to pin up polaroid photos. It’s not actually real polaroids, I followed a tutorial online to make my own and I think it worked out pretty well.

I also have a letter board, which I’m not very good at changing up but it’s still cute!

Plants

I have four plants in my bedroom. Two of them are cacti, which I’ve managed not to kill with my overwatering techniques. One is planted in a pot from TJ Maxx and one just in a terra cotta pot. The other two plants are in these wall hanging planters from Target. One is a snake plant and the other is a pothos.

Let me know what you think of my room! I’ll be moving into my next apartment here soon, so I’m excited to switch some things up with decor and stuff, but will still be using a majority of the same things.
