16 Things I Learned in 16 Weeks of College | Junior Year Spring

I can’t believe that I graduate in a year! It still feels like I’m a freshman, but here I am finishing up my junior year at SDSU – crazy! This will be the sixth post that I’ve written for each semester. (Read last semester’s post here) I haven’t been very good at writing on this blog this year. I’ve been keeping very busy with an internship, working at the radio station, class, and just everything else. It’s been so great, and honestly, I’ve had one of the best semesters, which is not something that I thought of with how the last one ended! I have a busy summer ahead and another busy senior year coming up, but things are really starting for me!

What have I learned?

  1. Take chances
  2. Don’t ever (and I mean ever) let people tear you down
  3. Friendships are a two-way streak
  4. I have found a love for design
  5. I have no idea where I want to end up after graduation
  6. But it’s perfectly okay not to know
  7. Challenge yourself to be better
  8. Don’t be afraid to open up to people
  9. Explore, and explore often
  10. Appreciate the people that care for you
  11. Home can be more than one place
  12. Take time to appreciate what you have
  13. Learn to embrace minimalism
  14. Plants make me so, so happy
  15. Go through what you grow through
  16. Learn to appreciate the time you have left in college, it’s not all sunshine and roses, but sometimes it is

I just want to thank my friends and family for really being here for me this semester. I think I really started coming out of my shell and embracing myself, my interests, and things that I want to get out of life. I’m really excited to see what this final year brings for me, but for now, bring on summer!

Let me know how your semester went!
