Currently Testing #2 | A Bunch of Brow Products

Am I the only person who finds a product they love and then never use anything else? Well, I’ve been basically using the same brow product for over a year now, so I was kind of itching to just see what else was out there. I picked a couple things up from Ulta’s sale and then also got a few more products in the mail to try out. There is one mascara in this bunch, but I haven’t actually tried it out yet just wanted to pick it up for the future.

  • Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara: I haven’t actually tried this one out, but wanted to include it because I did pick this up. I’m excited to see if it lives up to its volume claims and Allana Davison’s recommendation in her videos. Volume is what I look for most in a mascara, so I think if I like the formula I’m going to love this mascara.
  • Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe: If you’ve been reading my blog for basically any amount of time, you’ll know how much I love the Anastasia Brow Powder. This is such a cult product, so I knew that I would like it once I tried it, but I had a hard time paying $20+ for a brow pencil that won’t last as long. Then it came on the 21 Days of Beauty sale for half-off, so I picked it up to try it out. I now see why this is so hyped because it’s a great product, the small pencil makes natural looking brow hairs and surprising there is more product in there than I thought.
  • Revlon ColorStay Brow Kit in Blonde*: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly brow product, this is a great pick. The powder is easy to use and apply, I haven’t used the wax as it scares me a little, but I do just set it with a little brow gel and I’m good to go. The color is a little warmer than I would like, but still a great drugstore powder.

    • Kat Von D 24-Hour Super Brow Long-Wear Pomade*: I was a little scared to try this product out as I’ve seen brow pomades used before and they are usually pretty intense. I like a more natural brow and that’s why I usually stick with powders. This product though surprised me! It was a little more high-maintenance to work with, but I still did my brows in probably about two minutes. I made sure to use just a tiny amount of product, wipe it in the cap, and then apply the tiniest amount to the brows at a time. I was able to get a very similar look that I’m used to and the shade matched my brows really well.
    • Kat Von D #70 Pomade Brow Brush*: This is just a really great angled brush to apply the KVD pomade with. It’s a stiff brush and picks up just the right amount of product. Is this my favorite brow brush I’ve used, no, and that really just comes down to I wish it had a spoolie at the end. I had to used my ABH brow brush to use the spoolie and then go in with this brush. I will continue to use it with the pomade, just need a spoolie!
