Kristen Ess Haircare Review

Kristen Ess Haircare Review

So I kind of have a love affair with Kristen Ess… I’ve been following her on Instagram for ages after I discovered her through Lauren Conrad. Then I think it was last year, she released a line of haircare products in Target and everyone went bananas. I have the problem of having way too many products to use, so I didn’t end up buying anything from her line until these sets were on sale around Christmas. I’ve been testing them out for awhile and wanted to share my thoughts.

Signature Shampoo + Signature Conditioner

The whole line smells like a good mix of cucumber and floral. It’s not overpowering, but it smells like a high-end salon brand. The shampoo does a good job of actually cleaning the hair. I’ve used some shampoos where I feel like they do nothing, so I like using this one if my hair is feeling extra dirty. The shampoo and conditioner obviously pair well together. After my hair is squeaky clean, the conditioner adds a lot of moisture back into my strands. They also contain her Zip-Up technology, which is supposed to help with split ends. They are sulfate free and safe for colored hair.

Leave-In Conditioner

This is probably my favorite product that I have here. I usually use hair oils, but they usually detangle more than add moisture to my hair. This product does both and it does so well! I spray a few sprays into my hair and then use my Wet brush to comb through my hair. I have barely any tangles after using this product and it feels soft and moisturized, and it leaves the hair smelling so good because of the signature scent! I will be buying the full-size of this when I’m done.

Reconstructive Moisture Mask

This is another great product! I featured it in this post because of the extra moisture needed in the winter seasons. I actually really need to use this product soon because my hair is feeling extra dry lately. This is an in-shower mask to use on the hair to add a lot of moisture. I apply this to the lengths of my hair and then leave it to sit for 3-5 minutes while I shave or do something else. You are able to leave it on for longer, but I haven’t tried it that way yet! Then just wash out and have smooth hair!

Alright, these are the products I picked up, although I plan on heading to Target real soon and picking up some more of her new products that just launched recently! Let me know what products you’ve tried that I need to pick up.
