November Recap and Favorites

November Recap

Happy December! We are on the countdown to both finals and Christmas. November was a great month, but a very busy month. I also decided to switch up how I do my monthly favorites posts, in the past, I was doing my five loves for the month, but I was struggling coming up with five new things I was enjoying over the month. So my new format will be giving a little update and then a few favorites from the month.

Here’s what I’ve been up to this month:

  • I started a new job, and also left my other one! I’m really happy with the change and I’m definitely a lot happier with my new job. My new job is at my college radio station and I’m doing marketing and social media for them, so this is really going to help me in my future career because that’s something I want to do in the future.
  • Thanksgiving was a great time (both of them actually)! I love getting to see my family and just spend time with them. I actually got an extra day of break which was awesome!
  • It’s been super warm this November even in South Dakota. It’s been so nice being able to be outside with just a thin jacket, but it’s supposed to freeze next week, so white Christmas here we come!

November Favorites

Some favorites:

This month has been super minimal makeup. Over my birthday, I picked up the Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer. I’m completely in love with this concealer. It’s so easy to blend and looks natural on the face. Plus it’s super easy to put on in the morning, as I can blend it in with my fingers, a brush, or a sponge–just depends on the day!

Another favorite has been the Tarte Smooth Operator Finishing Powder.  I use this to set the concealer and it just leaves such a smooth finish on the face. It also mattifies and makes the products last a lot longer.

My last favorite of the month is the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. This is such a natural mascara and really makes the lashes fluffy and long. It’s great for natural makeup days, so it’s being used a lot!
