The Ordinary Skincare and Foundation Haul

The Ordinary Haul

The Ordinary products have been so hyped up lately, so I decided to pick a few up to try out myself. I’ve been wanting to get a control on acne, so many of these products are targeting that. I’m also just so impressed with the brand so far, they just can’t compete with the price and for someone just getting into more of a skincare routine, this has been a great brand to start out with.

The Ordinary Haul

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

This is the one product I was super interested in trying out. This product is supposed to target blemishes and reduce the appearance. What I’m hoping for this product is it will help diminishes some of my hyperpigmentation and acne scars as well as help fight current acne. The few times I’ve used this product it has felt really nice on the skin and I’m excited to see the long-term effects.

Salicylic Acid 2%

I’ve used many products that have salicylic acid in them, and it has helped fight my acne before. I wanted to try this one out because it’s just the salicylic acid in it so I’m hoping it will be more direct and act faster. I had a super bad breakout week when this order arrived, and with using this they have already started going down so I have high hopes!

The Ordinary Haul

Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

Toners have been doing wonders for my skin since I started using them, so I knew I wanted to give this a go. This product is supposed to mildly exfoliate and improve skin radiance and clarity. So far it’s been pretty gentle, and my skin feels really nice after using it.

Serum Foundation 1.0 N

After reading a few other bloggers thoughts on the foundations I decided to pick up the Serum Foundation and give it a go. I got the lightest shade, and surprisingly I think it’s a little too light for me. The color still works, but I probably should have gotten the second darkest shade or so, but with bronzer, it was a pretty good match. I don’t know if the formula is going to work great for my skin because my skin is more oily. I’ve only worn it once, but by the end of the day, it was very broken up and not looking the best. I’m going to try it out with other primer combinations and keep you guys updated.
