theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter Review

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter

I recently picked up theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter after seeing this beauty online! It looked like the perfect highlighter for fair skin and a little cheaper alternative to Becca highlighters.

Packaging: theBalm has really cute packaging from what I’ve seen. It is also very sturdy packaging with a very firm closure on the highlighter. It’s almost too well packaged that sometimes I struggle to get it open right away. I like the design on the front and don’t find it too cheesy or over-done.

Formula: The highlighter is a densely packed pigment. It’s not too packed in there that your brush doesn’t pick up any product but just packed enough to disperse the perfect amount. It swatches really well on my hand and also looks so natural on the face. I like using it with my Real Techniques Setting Brush and I get the best look.

Shade: The color is a light champagne gold, which is a perfect match for my very fair skin tone. Other people have described this as a very intense highlighter, and while I believe you can build it up, it is pretty natural. I like using this on full makeup days and no makeup days and get a really natural highlight.

Final Thoughts: I’m really glad that I picked this up. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on other blogs and on YouTube and it made me really excited to buy a new highlighter. I think the Mary-Lou Manizer is a great product to get for the price point and add a new highlighter to my collection! If you have fair skin, this will be a great highlighter to use for every day. I find myself reaching for this product a lot lately since I’ve picked it up and know that I will be getting a lot of use out of it this year!
