Another post that contains products from a very long time ago… Whoops! I thought I would still include reviews of these items because I’ve been able to try out a lot of products from these brands that are still available in full-sized products. I like trying out minis because you get to try out some high-end brands and see what you like and what you would buy again. Black Friday is always such a good time to stock up on these products, so here’s my little haul!
This product is actually still available on the Sephora website and it’s the Milk Makeup Headliner Makeup Set ($25). This was the most expensive set I picked up, but I was eager to try out some products from Milk Makeup. I’ve seen a bunch of their products online and they have some of the best packaging!
Cooling Water (0.08 oz/2.4 g): This is such a cool product! I’ve used this a couple of times underneath my eyes, which are always puffy and immediately you can see some of the puffiness go down. I love how it’s cooling and refreshing in the morning or afternoon pick me up and makes my makeup look smooth and fresh.
Ubame Mascara in Inked (0.25 oz/7.5 mL): I have a lot of mascaras, so I’ve only tried this twice, but so far I like it. The wand has a unique bubble shape that I’ve never seen on a wand before, at first it’s kind of hard to coat all of the lashes, but the bubble on the end of the wand makes it easy to get the hard to reach lashes. The finish is very natural and I had very little flaking under the eyes.
Lip Color in Dip Out (0.04 oz/1 g): I’m so sad that this is such a small sample size because I love this lipstick! It’s a very comfortable formula in a lovely raspberry wine color. On my lips, it appears a little more wine, but it is such a pretty color!
Micellar Water Makeup Remover Wipe (0.10 oz/ 3mL): This is such a tiny makeup removing wipe that if I was wearing a fuller face of makeup it wouldn’t get it all off. It wasn’t great for removing mascara, and generally, I just wasn’t impressed with how it removed face makeup either. The only good thing is that it smells like cucumber and doesn’t leave any residue on my face, but I wouldn’t purchase these when there are way better wipes for a better price.
Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara (4.8 g/0.17 oz): This is my favorite high-end mascara, so I basically picked up this set to get this. This mascara adds so much volume and length to my lashes and is super black. The only problem I’ve had with this is some flaking on the bottom lashes, but I just apply very little and it seems to work out fine.
Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil (1.15 g/0.04 oz): I don’t wear waterproof mascara, which is what this product is targeted towards. As an actually cleansing oil, it does a really good job. I love how it’s basically on a mascara wand because it’s very easy to control where it is going and it did a good job of removing regular mascara.
Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black (.14 oz/3.5 mL): This mascara is very black and did a good job of really separating my lashes. My lashes also had a full look, so I really enjoyed how this mascara performed. I found that it does last all day and had just a little transfer to my lower lash line.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm (.5 oz/15 mL): I really like using this product to remove my makeup. It does a great job of getting all of the mascara off and doesn’t leave any behind. It is a little messier to use, but I just put this on and either take some water and a towel or a makeup removing wipe to get the rest of it off.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara (4 mL/0.13 fl oz): Although this isn’t my favorite mascara I’ve tried, I do still enjoy using it. The brush on this mascara really helps to separate your lashes and make them look longer and fuller. I find the formula is a little dryer and flakes more that other mascaras.
Tarte Blush in Unstoppable (1.5 g/0.05 oz): I think this is a limited edition shade to this set, but I find that the shade Risque is a very close match to this one. The shade is a peachy nude color and looks so natural on my fair skin. I love the look of Tarte blushes and how long they last on the skin!
Tarte Lipstick in Living (1 g/0.035 oz): Such a tiny sample, but such a pretty color! The perfect in trend mauve-brown color. Another shade I can’t find online but looks similar to Cabana Boy. It is such a creamy and comfortable formula on the lips and actually lasts a long time.
